Happy Thursday!
I have found that my original form of getting absent work to students was not working. So, instead of having work in the folders outside, I have made some bright yellow folders that say "4th Grade Absent Work." These will go on top of your student's desk with any work that they missed from their absence. The folder must be returned with all the work inside. If your student is sick and they have a sibling or neighbor at the school who you would like to deliver the work, just let me know and we will send the folder, along with any textbooks needed with that student. The hanging files will still be used. However, the hanging file outside will hold extras of things that some of the students might lose, including the social studies glossary, Book-It! calendars, project itinerary...etc. If you happen to be at school, and I am not here, students may pick up extras if they have lost their paper. Please note, the due date policy has not changed, only the way the absent work is getting home is changing. As always, feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to seeing you at conferences! -Mrs. Sprouls Hello,
I wanted to reach out to let you know that some crude language was written on a student's property, and it was noticed by the student it belongs to. Shortly after seeing it, it was brought to my attention. Even though only a couple students saw this, I wanted to make sure I informed everyone because I know how fast news can travel. It is extremely apparent to me and the students, that it was not a member of our class who performed this act. I believe it was a student from faith formation. Faith formation meets in our room on Wednesday nights. I have discussed this with the director of faith formation and we are working to make sure this doesn't happen again and that the student who was involved is held accountable. We will also be taking extra precautions on our own, including turning our desks inward so that the contents cannot be touched. Once again, we are working to solve this and prevent occurrences like this in the future. I will also be sending this as an announcement and an email through school speak. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. -Mrs. Sprouls Don't forget, tomorrow is color day! We will be wearing blue with our prayer partners! (Pre-K)
Good morning!
We will be starting our weekly reading quizzes this week, these will be open book, except the spelling component. Our first religion unit assessment will be at the end of this week. This religion assessment will be open book, due to the two weeks of ITBS testing. Have a great Monday! |
